FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many laser hair removal treatments will I need?
It will vary between each person. Typically, clients require 6-8 but can be up to 12 treatments. Some factors that may come into play:
•Previous treatments like waxing and shaving
•Hair density & color
•Hormonal body areas
•Age
•Ethnic background
Is it ok to come when it’s my time of the month?
We recommend to book the following week or sometime after as we are all generally a bit more sensitive at this time.
Does it hurt?
No. Our Laser has cooling technology that offers soothing comfort while the settings create a virtually pain free experience!
Is there any down time?
No. All we ask is that for the following 72 hours no hot tubs, hot showers, and stay out of direct sunlight. And of course apply sunscreen!! (Don’t skip this step)
How long does each treatment take?
Treatments take 5-60 minutes, depending on how large the area is. For example underarms and lower legs will take around 30 minutes.
How long between appointments?
Anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks for the first 1-4 treatments. The more treatments you have the longer you can wait between treatments. (For example if you don't have to shave for 6 weeks then wait another 2 weeks to book.)
How much does it cost?
Depending on how many treatments you'll need and the type of hair you have, this will vary. We often have specials or sales happening. Send us a DM and ask.
Will I be completely hair free?
Laser hair removal removes up to 90-95% of your hair. You may still have some peach fuzz left behind, however, it will be finer, lighter, and tends to grow in much slower. This makes for a super quick and easy touch up!
Why did all my hair grow back after laser?
After your laser session, the growth of new hair will be less noticeable. However, even though laser treatments damage hair follicles, they're not destroyed completely. Over time, the treated follicles may recover from the initial damage and grow hair again.
What To Expect From Laser Hair Removal Treatments
1st Treatment
The length of each session of laser hair removal varies depending on your skin type, the coarseness of your hair as well as the size and location of the treatment area. Typically, average sessions last anywhere between 5 minutes (for the underarms) and 30 minutes (for the legs).
2nd Treatment
After your first laser hair removal session, you should have seen an immediate difference in the treatment area, but by this time some hair may be growing back and hair growth may be patchy.
3rd Treatment
At this point, hair growth should be noticeably slowing down, but you will still need a few more treatments to stop future hair regrowth for a while.
4th Treatment
By treatment 4, patches of hair should be minimal, although they may still be present. Hair growth should be significantly slower and less dense from your first session to now.
5th Treatment
Results may vary by this stage. Some people will still have patches of hair whereas others are completely hair free. If you can’t see any hair regrowth, speak to your laser hair removal specialist to see if you need to book another session. They may suggest one more session to ensure that the hair follicles are adequately affected by treatment so that hair will not regrow.
6th Treatment And Onward
Some people will not need any further laser hair removal treatments after 5 treatments, but others will. This will depend on your hair, how you’ve been caring for the treatment area, and how well your hair follicle reacts to the laser. If hair is still growing or patches (even small ones) are present, more hair removal appointments will be needed. It’s not abnormal to receive up to 12 treatments before hair growth is halted.
Touch-Ups
Hair growth will stop for a long time after your initial round of laser hair removal treatments. Eventually, your hair follicles will heal and hair growth will begin again. For some people, this can occur within several months, but for others it can take years. When hair does eventually begin to grow back, it will not grow as dense or as thick as it once did. To get rid of regrowth, schedule a laser hair removal for touch ups.
